Social Networking w/Bible Study
I would like a way to do the social networking site type thing with the ability to make personal notes on bible context or verse that friends can see. I feel that God reveals different things to different people and it would be interesting to be able to read those different perspectives and possibly gain new insight into scripture. Also to do updates with prayer requests and other things that Christians should be engaging in.

Bring back bookmarking and commenting on verses!
On the old version of the site you could bookmark and comment on scriptures and verses. Others could then read your comments if it was made public.
All the scriptures I loved over the years I bookmarked and now I have lost them all :( is there a way to get them back?

add a hebrew word "translation" dictionary
when we translated into english we lost some of the real meaning in hebrew. Many of the pastors I listen too translate words from herbrew and makes the bible more understandable. I would love to be able to do that.

Great new look and functionality! Glad I'm a life time member. I hope I can get this on my Blackberry Storm soon. Keep up the good work.

provide an eBible app for cell phones
It would be nice to have a Bible in a device you always have with you.

Want to be able to see my notes on verses when I scroll through the books. A star attached?
When scrolling through the books of the Bible, I would like to see where I have placed notes on each verse or chapter. A star along side the verse to show I have placed a note there. Also a way to see if others have also placed a note on the same verse. Social Networking is very important to Christians so they can compare their thoughts on the scriptures. A chat box would be nice like Facebook has at the bottom.

Add the Hebrew Bible... in Hebrew!
I'm simply shocked and terribly disappointed to see that you have chosen to redesign a website that was perfectly (I say this seriously) fine, and already far more impressive than any other Bible site in its functionality, instead of focusing on new content. Actual CONTENT! I asked you about this a couple of years ago, and got an enthusiastic reply, but nothing has happened.
The Hebrew Bible is available on several websites, completely open for free use, as no website has anything to add - it's just the original, timeless Bible! All you have to do is feed the text… more

Explain abbreviations on mouse over, add a Table of Contents, guide for beginners
Hi, great site, but I only know the King James Verson (KJV) and the New International (NIV), I'm sure many people are the same. It would be helpful to know what the abbreviation was before I chouse it.
Also, a table of contents is a must.
A guide for beginners (to the Bible), would be great to.
Thank you,

Verse of the Day API and CSS
Hello,
I would like to make the verse of the day appear in the eBible widget, so an API for the VOD would be most helpful.
I would also like to be able to style the VOD.
Thank you

Assist users in reading the bible in a year
Track verses that the user has read. Show a list of Books/Chapters that the user hasn't read.
Or just like the verse of the day, give a section of the day. If the user keeps up, they will read the whole bible in one year.8 votes
